On 25^th November 2010, the Mobile Court at Bagerhat has sentenced 3 eve teasers to 1 year of imprisonment each.  This is the first time that the Mobile court has punished eve teasers in Bagerhat with 1 year imprisonment. Lead by Executive Magistrate of Bagerhat, Mohammad Mehedi Hassan, the mobile court officials arrested 3 men in front of Shommiloni School who were involved in harassing the school and college going girls.

The 3 offenders are Mahbub Sikder, son of Nazir Sikder, Lal Chand Sikder, son of Haroon Sikder, and Rubel Molla, son of Shahadat Molla. SSI of Detective Branch of Bagerhat and officials of Mobile Court were present during the time of arrest when the eve teasers were caught red handed. According to Magistrate Mohammad Mehedi Hassan,  the Mobile court officials found the 3 men guilty of taunting and harassing females in front of Shomiloni school, and immediately sentenced them each to 1 year of imprisonment as per Article 509 .
